Tomás Callister & Luc McNally

Tomás Callister and Luc McNally have both played in top bands on the Trad scene,(Ímar, Mec Lir, Calum Stewart, Dosca, Snuffbox) and play traditional music at the absolute height of the game.

Both are fanatical believers in the value of the trad session and have formed a tight bond over their shared musical taste, as well as their faith in traditional music’s place as a vehicle for change within today’s class struggle.

’Tom and Luc make the virtuosic look effortless, they have skill and spirit in spades and they understand the importance of social music. Sitting down to listen to them is a shortcut to the happy place we all need.’ - Kris Drever

Years of playing together in Glasgow’s pubs has formed a great mutual respect, personally and musically, which is focused on excitement and fun. They have found it a pure relief from the turbulence and uncertainty of recent times.

Coming respectively from the Isle of Man and the North East of England, and both having been raised on traditional music and protest song, the outcome is irreverent and joyful: a distillation of their shared passion.
